In School Governance
As a serving governor and education adviser with over 25 years’ experience working with governing bodies in both primary and secondary schools, Kit is able to offer support, challenge and advice in effective governance.
He undertakes health checks of governance in primary and secondary schools and academies. During 2016 he has been working as a project consultant to a multi-academy trust in order to improve the quality of governance within the trust as a whole.
In Performance Management
Kit was the local authority lead on appraisal/ performance management for over 10 years. He has led CPD sessions on the performance management cycle and is able to undertake health checks of PM processes within primary and secondary academies and schools.
Through Strategic Advice to SACREs
As a former member of a SACRE in the North West of England and latterly as chair of the Sheffield SACRE, Kit is able to offer strategic support, advice and challenge to SACREs and MATs with regard to the Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education and Collective Worship Guidelines. Whilst working with the Sheffield SACRE, Kit led a pupil project entitled “Sheffield Young Faith Investigators Group” (SYFIG). Further details can be found on the projects page.
